Sample Tag:

  

  • Use 3x5 index cards
  • price in $1 increments.  Remember people are looking for bargains, but don't give your things away.  Start at about 1/3 of the original retail price and adjust for wear and style.
  • your consignor code is your initials plus the last four digits of your phone #.  (ex: BE3280)  It goes on top left.
  • write "ND" (no discount) in the bottom right on items not to be sold for half price on Saturday. 
  • include popular brand names in item descriptions (ex: khaki Gap pants).
  • use a number to size all children's clothes.  Put in upper right.
  • maternity and junior clothes may be sized S, M, L.
  • label junior clothes as JR by the size.
  • place clothes on hangers with hook facing left.
  • safety pin tags to left side of clothing if wearing it, the right side if facing it (see photo.)
  • pin sets securely together.
  • no straight pins or tiny gold pins.
  • use packing tape to tape tags to toys and equipment: not "Scotch tape" or masking tape.
  • group small items together in a Ziploc bag.
  • pin shoes together or put in a Ziploc bag.
  • Bring all clothing to drop off organized by size and sex.
  • Items not tagged as instructed must be corrected before being accepted.
  • How to hang pants:
